About Luke  

Melaleuca Gardens founder Luke Marotta enjoys building gardens that draw interest and create a little drama to catch the eye. With experience in formal gardens with tightly clipped hedges and topiary to sprawling native gardens that have a planned chaos approach, at Melaleuca Gardens there’s a good mixture of borrowed design principals from all walks of life and a plant selection to suit the client’s style.

Utilising recycled and traditional materials and combining ornamental and edible plants Luke creates beautifully harmonious and productive gardens that blend into the landscape. Drawing on his vast experience, Luke uses repetition & dense plantings design and techniques to create unity while a mixture of heights and empty space can give a sense of depth which can be useful in smaller gardens.

Luke believes in creating and maintaining simple and luxurious gardens that blend beauty and aesthetics while providing sanctuary in a modern Australian style.
